2009 Social Impact Project for Teenagers

This summer, give your kids a perspective that will last a lifetime. Your child will learn, experience, and change. The Social Impact Project is a unique summer experience for youth, ages 12 through high school, to learn about the social needs in Fort Worth and surrounding communities, and to participate in volunteer and philanthropic projects with a variety of local nonprofit social service agencies. Youth will learn about homelessness, hunger, and issues facing children, families and seniors, as well as mental health and health care related issues. (more…)

Pool Committee Meeting May 1, 2009

Marc Valenti, Frank Friar, Kelly Skellie, Gary Honaker

Gary Honaker has joined the pool subcommittee and Lana Sikora has resigned from the pool subcommittee.
The committee discussed and reviewed the bids from the pool service companies. We are currently without a contract and want to have a contract in place as soon as possible. Our current provider, Roberts Pool Company failed to have the pools open and ready for the residents on opening day, May 1st at 10am. On that day, one pool was not opened until after 2pm and three of the other pools were not clean enough to allow healthy swimming. We were very fortunate because the weather has not been ideal for swimmers so the complaints have been few. (more…)
