Friday, October 9, 6-8 p.m.
 
Cowboys and cowgirls are invited to come out and have a boot-stomping, hand-clapping, whistle-blowing good time!! There will be bounce houses, an obstacle course, a rock climbing wall, a dunk tank, carnival games, chili cook off, and food. Punch cards will be sold at the event and used toward activities, games and food.

There will also be samples of IES PTA’s fundraiser Grandma’s Gourmet Country Pies. Come and taste a bite of these delicious pies during the Maverick Round Up. These yummy pies will be ready for delivery just in time for Thanksgiving. So make your Turkey Day meal a little easier and support your IES PTA.

We welcome anyone or any business in the community to join our PTA and help make Independence a great school for our children. For more information, check out the PTA website at www.iespta.org.

Who?: Children who turned 4 on or before Sept. 1, 2009 and that will attend Independence Elementary School next year.

What?: Preschool Mavericks Storytime

Where?: Independence Elementary School Library

When?: Every other Friday from 10:30-11:00 am

(Our first one will be October 9!)

Why?: To get acquainted with the school and staff and to promote reading and early literacy

How do I sign up?: For first-time registration of your child, please return the bottom portion of this form to the IES library or email the info to Shelley Moore (librarian) at shelley.moore@kellerisd.net. Preschoolers must sign up by the Tuesday prior to each storytime to participate. To sign up each time, you simply email Mrs. Moore to let her know you will be coming. This allows for planning and preparation of materials.
