Northwest ISD is in great need of additional volunteers to read to district elementary students during the Third Annual Northwest Reads Event, designed to inspire lifelong readers, Friday, October 30, 2009 from 9:30 to 10:00 am.300 volunteers are needed this year to read children’s books to Northwest students in grades PK-3. Participants are encouraged to speak with the children about their professions and how they enjoy reading as adults.
