VOWS Bunny Hop 5K & Fun Run and Egg Hunt – Saturday, March 21, 2015

Attention Woodland Springs runners, walkers, and hoppers! The 6th Annual VOWS Bunny Hop is coming. Saturday, March 21 at Bray Birch Park. 5K and/or 1 Mile Fun Run with T-shirt and the post-race fun (refreshments, petting zoo, bounce houses, DJ Kam, vendor displays & activities, and of course the VOWS Egg Hunt Scramble). The race will be chip-timed by Cox Racing Services. Proceeds benefit Community Storehouse and Christ’s Haven for Children. More info, photos, and registration at http://bunnyhop.athlete360.com/. 2014 Breakfast with Santa – Saturday, December 6 – Registration Now Open

Dear VOWS Residents,

This year’s Villages of Woodland Springs Breakfast with Santa Community Event will be held on Saturday, December 6 at the Timberland Amenity Center.
The Timberland Amenity Center is located at 12209 Timberland Blvd.

There are three time slots available:

Session 1:   8:30am to   9:30am.   Photos and breakfast.
Session 2: 10:00am to 11:00am.   Photos and breakfast.
Session 3: 11:00am to 12:00pm.   Photos only. No food will be served.

Pre-registration is required for the two breakfast sessions and strongly suggested for the third session.

Admission is $5.00 per adult or child for Sessions 1 & 2
Children ages 2 and under are free.

For Session 3, there will be a $5.00 charge for each person/child to be photographed with Santa.
Parents/chaperons who will not be photographed do not have to pay/register for Session 3.

Movie Date Night in the Park

Please join us for our first ever Date Night Movie in the Park.  This event will be held at the Slide Pool Park on Satruday, July 26th.  The Slide Pool Park is located at the corner of Park Vista and Woodland Springs (12301 Woodland Springs Drive).

The movie has fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love and miracles…It’s Princess Bride!

We have Righteous Ribs and Freezing Frog Sno Cones food trucks coming.  The food trucks will arrive at 7:00 pm and the movie will begin at sundown (approx. 8:30 pm).

July 4th Celebration – Saturday, June 28th – 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

It is time again for our Annual July 4th Neighborhood Celebration.

This event will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 28th at the Slide Pool Park, which is located at the corner of Park Vista and Woodland Springs (12301 Woodland Springs Drive).

This year’s July 4th Neighborhood Celebration will be a WA-TERRIFIC Event with Water Slides, Water Guns, a Kids and Pets Parade, lots of Food, and tons of FUN-FUN-FUN!!!

The Kids and Pets Parade will have Winners for the Most Patriotic Stroller/Wagon, Most Patriotic Girl, Most Patriotic Boy, Most Patriotic Family, and the Most Patriotic Pet.

Spring Community-Wide Garage Sale – May 2-4

The VOWS Spring Community Wide Garage Sale will be held this weekend, May 2-4.

Please remember that you will need to acquire a (FREE) garage sale permit from the City of Fort Worth in order to participate in the sale.

Permits should be secured at least 72 hours prior to the garage sale and shall be prominently displayed on the premises during the sale.

No more that 2 sales are permitted on the same premises within any one calendar year.

The garage sale event will be held this weekend rain or shine…

For any of those items that just didn’t make that cut, or that you’ve decided simply must go, please remember that Monday, May 5th starts the next City of Fort Worth bulky trash collection week for our area. The monthly bulky trash collection is intended for items that are too heavy or bulky to fit in the brown garbage carts associated with normal garbage pickup.
